Middle of the week and the library was near enough empty, there again classes had just finished and everyone was either going for lunch or lingering in the halls. As soon as her history class ended she was up and gone. The teacher didn't even get a chance to dismiss the class.
She had more or less jumped each flight of stairs she had to take and bounded out the doors to the library, hoping it would be empty. Entering and uttering her greetings to the librarian Lilith took a deep breath to slow her pounding heart. She hadn't seen Melody or Skara but guessed that they were still in their classes as she ran here.
She came here near enough every other day, just like running or working out sitting here cleared her mind. Her body knew where to go and seemed almost like she was running on instinct, weaving her way between shelves of books she found her dark corner. Flopping down into her personal bean bag. Around her old dusty books sat on their shelf, most in Latin but some older.
Hardly anyone came to this corner of the library it was almost in an alcove. Picking up her book she flicked through it's pages to her place and settled down. Even though she was reading the book her mind was racing. That day out with Melody, that night fighting for Melody's life and spending the night with Skara.
Sighing Lilith shook her head and went back to reading. Her legs tucked under her body and her black hair covering as much of the black markings as possible. Only her and Skara knew of it's origin.

Adrien had forgotten to have breakfast, again. So he had hurriedly made some toast dripping with butter before rushing to the library to plan his magic lesson after lunch. If you had seen him you wouldn't think he was rushing, he had that natural and perfect grace and beauty vampires have, even while eating toast and looking like a pillock in his clothes.
They were all made from velvet and were black (except his white cravat and shirt), his fastened waistcoat had silver trim and buckles and he had and he had a longer coat over that that was trimmed with gold and around the buttons and cuffs to. He had knee high riding boots as well as a black cloak over all the layers he already had, and he acted like he didn't feel how hot it would be under it.
The half vampire bowed low to the librarian, still looking perfect and beautiful even though he had a slice of toast in his mouth. Being a librarian is a worthy and respectable job, even though most people nowadays laugh and they do not get paid much. His father's librarian was a very good friend to them both and he tended to show a lot of respect to any caretaker of books.
While walking trough the library gazing at the books the crunch of his toast echoed against the walls before he came across the girl, she had the familiar scent of a were and he smiled at her, "Hello, Lilith is it?"

Lilith hated this uniform, she didn't wear skirts unless she had to, and the skirt she wore now made it hard to curl up on the bean bag without showing a lot of leg. to say she didn't like the school uniform was a major understatement, which is why she didn't cut her hair up short. Curled up on the bean bag it covered her upper legs and her boots covered her lower legs, today there was no coat of any sort to be seen, that in itself was almost a miracle.
Lilith heard the crunch of toast and the scent of melting butter overwhelmed her nose but she paid no attention to it, often the librarian would be eating her lunch now. So the young werewolf was used to the sound and smell that almost made her hungry. Smiling and lowering her gaze back to her book she became lost with in it's pages.
She had become lost enough within her new book, to not even notice the sound of crunching toast getting closer, or the scent of a half vampire. So when he spoke Lilith jumped and nearly dropped her book, a deep growl started from inside her but she caught herself when she saw it was one of the teachers. All the teachers held her respect to some degree here, they had to, they put up with all the snobby kids including her.
"Yeah. Adrian right?"
She refused to call any of the teachers by their last name unless she either didn't know their first or they addressed her by her surname first. Why should she be formal when the teachers don't have to be?
Taking her leather bookmark off her leg she put it between the pages of the book and closed it not bothering to hide the title from him. She liked the series and didn't care what he thought of her reading it.
"You looking for a certain book here, or just come to torment a young werewolf?"
Her words themselves were bitter but her tone was soft almost as if she was offering her help and trying to have a 'friendly' conversation with him.

Adrian smiled at the girl and bowed to her in a similar way as he did to the librarian, except while the first bow was one of respect this one was one of greeting, one where a noble male meets a beautiful young lady. Some things immortals never grow out of, or like too much to stop really. He wouldn't chide her for using his first name, he wasn't like that, he wanted his students to feel comfortable and if using his first name or calling him sir or mister helped with that then as far as he was concered it was ok.
"Yeah, Adrian it is. Nice to finally talk outside of class." he said kindly as he bowed again. The teacher then laughed and flashed her his fangs, "Oh tormenting of course." he whispered with a wink to show he was joking as he leaned against a bookshelf wiping some butter from his hands onto his trousers. It woudl do the books harm to have his oily fingers all over them so he always wore a pair of leather gloves while he read, yeah these books were most likely enchanted to stop them degreding like normal books but it doesn't hurt to have good practices. What if one were to happen across an important book in the mortal world?
"So is this your little hideaway? Not a very good one you know, what with the geeky magic students." he asked her, moving to brush a stray strand of hair from his face, there wasn't actually one there but humans -even those who know about magic and stuff- tend to get a bit jumpy when someone isn't moving or breathing so slightly they look dead.

The much older male smiled and bowed to her, Lilith was 'polite' enough to nod her head in greeting she had seen that bow and smile to often. Hearing him confirm his name Lilith winced at his laugh and smiled flashing her own fangs.
"Of course."
Her tone was almost as if she was bored, his words had sent a chill up her spine and his general body language made her feel suddenly very alone. Doing her best not to fidget Lilith unconsciously shifted her weight slightly and hid her right half of her body behind her hair again.
"No-one reads these dusty books anymore, they're the 'darker' magics that are here because it's their resting place."
Lilith laughed, she didn't care about him not moving and looking dead. She was used to dead bodies, in fact she studied human corpses whenever possible. The question was did anyone here know that?
Sighing Lilith leaned back on her beanbag and sank a little more into the embrace of the black material. Looking up to the stunning Dhampir she shook her head, at least he wore the same colour as her.
"Don't bother playing human, I'm used to dead. Now do you want to stand there staring at the better one of us or do something?"
Lilith was blunt, both insulting him and actually offering her time to him. She had an hour at least to kill and if he was going to be staring at her she would have preferred to be doing something other than sitting in a bean bag feeling like she was near enough naked and in a dark corner of a rarely used library.
She must have been insane, hoping in a way that he would say no to doing anything with her, because the only thing she had planned was a run or weights. She was not going to consider swimming and other than her normal day she didn't know what else they could do. At least the running and weights would be competitive.

"Oh I would hardly call them dusty. In fact some of them look well used." he said with a little smile, both how he said it and the smile were little subtle clues to her that he had been reading them. Some of the book shelves were completely clear of dust from the amount he has read the books a great deal, "In fact some of the books seem to be well used."
He laughed at her words and smiled at her, "Better of us huh? Someone is a bit prideful do you not think, then again you are a were." he chuckled and grinned at her, "Plus I am not exactly dead little lady, my heart just beats slower than a humans, and my natural body temperature is sort of midway between human and room temperature so I am just a tad bit cool." he explained and continued to just stand there as if thinking of her question.
"Hmmmm how about skinny dipping?" he joked and winked at her seductively, he was a master of body language so he could make his body look angry or sad or... irresistible almost on command and he waited to see her reaction with a grin.

Lilith knew how well used these books were, his smile and tone told her that he was one of the few people other than her that read these books. Smiling but not showing her own fangs again she ignored his laughter.
Hearing him explain his body Lilith was actually interested, testing it's limits would have been fun. Testing to see how it reacted to things such as the temperature and electricity would have kept her busy for weeks. Although she shouldn't really have been thinking about it she smiled sweetly and moved her legs out from under her body and stood.
"In your dreams."
Lilith laughed and turning to pull her bean bag from it's place. Underneath the bean bag was a ring, kneeling down she pull the small hatch up and placed her book inside. Closing it again and moving her bean bag back in place she stood up and spun to face the taller man.
"If you want to swim then I'm wearing something, you, well you i don't really care if you wear something or not."
Lilith wondered if her words would have thrown him off or not, very few girls or even women would have remain as calm as she did.

He smiled at her and scratched an itch on his chin as he got this faraway look in his eyes, "Actually little student my dreams are filled with this foxy little blonde witch called Maria. Damn she was amazing in bed, perfect body to, and an amazing witch the things she could do beign only human." he replied to Lilith with this grin that made knowing what he was thinking about, naughty naughty things with Maria.
He raised an eyebrow as she but a book away in a compartment under the beanbag, has that always been there? "Swimming is so drool and boring. I'd much rather we do something interesting, like..." he said then continued in a sexy voice as he winked, "swordmanship, you would love my sword I assure you. And my hands, I know how to use my hands, dark magic needs precision after all."
His words were all innocent enough but there was a hint of... mischief. Now Adrian had the patience of a saint so he just stood there, unmoving and quiet, his heart beat slow and his breathing quiet and just looked at her while he waited for her to come up with an idea. She offered spending time together and so she should have a few ideas.

Hearing him speak made Lilith laugh and shake her head. This is why she dislike vampires... more so the males. They always seemed to love trying to seduce people even if they were a werewolf. She had stood after putting to book away to see him wink, oh how she wanted to rip his tongue from his mouth.
Smiling sweetly she giggled and started to walk toward on of the back doors to the library, this door faced to forest but it would take a minute or two to get to the door. Not caring if he followed or not she spoke anyway know he would hear her words even if he was a little behind her.
"Why would a innocent girl own or even know how to use a sword?"
She grinned and thought about something that wouldn't be so boring. In truth she had no real thing to offer that they could do, well she could think of lots of things they 'could' do but she wouldn't do.
Pausing by a book shelf she moved a couple of books around placing them in the right order, she didn't really care if he stopped or not. Hell she didn't even know if he had followed her.
"Well you're talking to a boring girl, running, weights, swimming and reading are pretty much all i do after class that isn't school related."
She spoke as if she was talking to herself, which she did do on occasion so it didn't feel odd. Sighing she tucked her hair behind her ear showing the 'tattoo' clearly. She didn't like it but why bother hiding it from him if they were going to be doing something together?
