Appearance: From a distance, Helch looks like any other man. He stands at an average height and bears pale skin and black hair. However, when one gets closer they will begin to notice his strange features. At all times he wears a complete black outfit, a long black coat accompanied by black shirt, black pants, black gloves, and even black boots. And he always wears a terrible white mask on his face, an odd tradition which all wights throughout the land are known to take part of. Instead of normal fingernails he bears long razor sharp claws. And his eyes glow an intimidating red, but are hidden under his mask. Also, a 10-foot radius spread of extreme cold exists around him, making it deadly for anyone to remain within that circle for long.

Personality: Helch's personality can only be described as chaotic. He is of average intelligence and loves to plan things out, but at times these plans can change on the slightest of whims. He loves to taunt and intimidate the people who dare wander around Arden Forest or Augusta at night. The wight has an obsession with cold and freezing things, often any path he was walked will bear ice and other signs that make it look as if winter had passed for that area. Like all wights, he loves to maim and kill with his claws and will often take whatever chance to do so, even if the thing is as simple as a tree or plant. Helch lives a simple life and rarely desires or needs something that he can't just find or get on his own, in these cases he hunts down someone who can and threatens to kill them if he doesn't get what he wants. Truly, the winterwight is a terrible creature that should be avoided at all costs.

Strengths: Expert Combatant, Innate Winter/Cold-based Magic, Highly Tuned Senses (Sight, Hearing, etc.), Undead traits (Immune to poison, sleep, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, and mind-affecting effects. Not subject to non-lethal damage or energy drain. Negative energy effects heals instead of harms. Not at risk of death from massive damage (aka being crushed, losing his head, etc.) but will be destroyed at a certain point. Can see perfectly in the dark. Can only be resurrected (and thus turned back into his pre-wight self) if he is entirely willing)

History: Helch is an ancient evil being that was once thought to exist only in fairy tales and stories, but those who think that way are wrong. Helch is a very real and wandering creature that is just as terrible as he sounds in the stories. The kind of thing that parents of old threatened their children about if they wouldn't go to bed when they were supposed to.
Over thousands of years ago, the creature that is now called Helch was once known as a simple woodcutter man by name of Eric. Back then he lived in a normal life in ancient Augusta. The man had a family and children and they were fair, happy people. However, the town was once a battleground between two powerful wizards. An Animus Blizzard spell destroyed Eric and his family, resurrecting them as Winterwights, which helped to fight and kill the other wizard.
Helch is now the only winterwight left in the world, as the Animus Blizzard spell is long forgotten. The other wights either perished in the battle or were hunted during their life-time. This reason alone would be enough to ascend Helch to legend status, but it's also his evil deeds that bring him there. He is known to attack anything he sees and freeze it (or taunt it before doing so). There are few people who have spotted him and survived and all who have attempted to hunt him down have failed.
