His eyes were closed and each breathe he took was deep. The elf was incredibly still, even when he took a breath he hardly moved. He was peaceful and his mind was at rest. But something interrupted him and his eyes opened.
The elf had been doing this for a while, after suffering from a certain recurring nightmare. He hadn't slept for years and instead entered this meditative state when he got tired. However, slowly the technique had been failing him. There was only so long a person could avoid sleep. Hallucinations were one of the many demons of this, along with altering his personality. It was one of these hallucinations that had stirred the elf. But, he considered them a necessary evil, none of these hallucinations could be as bad as that nightmare.
Tonight's hallucination took the form of voices, each of them familiar and heart-gripping. Along with these voices also came sounds and other disturbing noises that reminded him of a certain event that took place years ago. His breathing soon became shallow, his face pale, his heart sunk into his chest, a chill up his spine, and even tears began to form. One of the voices shocked him so much that he quickly stood and backpedaled against the wall, which ended the hallucination, which still weren't as bad as that one nightmare.
Yáng sighed after catching his breath, that was the worst one yet. He wiped the sweat off of his head and put his hand over his heart to calm it. It was good that he was the only one in the teacher's room at this hour, or he might've caused a scene. The elf stumbled forward and out of the room, it was obvious that there'd be no rest tonight. He walked with the intention of getting outdoors and into fresh air and an open sky, things that all elves had trouble living without.
After making it outside, he immediately went about having a walk under tonight's brilliantly shining half-crescent moon. The air was cool at this time of night and the feeling of it blowing against him allowed Yáng to momentarily forget the voices from earlier. He took this moment of clear headiness to his advantage. ...To think about the people he had met earlier that day. The pink-haired girl, the mind reading boy, and the she-vampire. Each of these people he only knew small bits and pieces about, but he reviewed each of them in his mind.
The pink-haired girl was a sort of klutz. She is often tired in the morning, which could be a sign of staying up late or not sleeping well; often because none of her friends seemed concerned. She isn't afraid of being teased, but doesn't like it and could be easily angered. She often speaks then thinks, instead of the much wiser way around (thinking before you speak). She doesn't like being the center of attention, but seems to always find herself at the center. She makes friends easily and seems to generally like everyone. ...There was definitely more to be learned about her that would be key to unlocking her personality.
The mind-reader boy was definitely more than he first seemed. He knew advanced magic and the elvish language, and now he knew Yáng's worst fear. The boy was extremely intelligent but seemed to harbor something against fay creatures, especially elves. He seemed to hate the manipulative and "silver-tongued" nature of the elves. However, there was something that Yáng could sense in the brief time he was with the boy. ...He had the same manipulative nature that Yáng had, although he might not have realized it as of yet. In a way, the boy totally redefined the concept of "silver-tongued". At the moment the mind-reader boy wasn't a threat, Yáng would approach him with a Wing Chun concept. Every defense that the elf would put up would be an offense, he'd turn everything back that the boy threw at him.
The she-vampire was also interesting. Her style of dress was strange and she wore many different rings on her fingers. She admitted to being married, which could explain her motherly nature. Possibly she had a child, which -again- would explain her motherly nature. She seemed to be very polite. ...But there was definitely something she was hiding from everyone else. Some of her trivial actions were quite exaggerated, which was always a sign. She seemed to not like a majority of the students, that much was obvious from some of her body language towards them.
All three of these interesting people had only very subtle and odd body languages, which was troubling. Yáng wasn't quite sure what he'd do with the three of them, but he did have some basic plans, concept, and theories marked up. Right now, he had to learn a lot more about all three of them, before he could make any concrete plan. But, for now, he'd try to initiate as many events as possible with the three of them. Building up those kinds of events between people were the key to creating a relationship. It didn't matter whether it was something such-as walking by them in the hallway or something as terrible as insulting them or spilling your coffee on their lap. Once you could get into a person's personality, you can effectively manipulate their feelings about you.
At that moment, something interrupted Yáng's train of thought. He had very nearly ran into a pole, which was part of a small structure in a playground. His eyes widened. The elf had walked past this playground earlier that day and it held no interest to him. ...But now it was almost like the playsets were beckoning to him. This was a good spot for practicing Nan Quan, and it was just what he needed to help clear his mind.
Carefully, he leaped onto the monkeybars, and stood balancing on one bar with his arms flat against his sides. Slowly he raised them until they were horizontal and level with his shoulders, like a "T". Then he outstretched his arms in front of him and turned them upside-down while forming fists with his hands. Here, he contracted his elbows so that each fist was touching its respective shoulder, then he raised them and aimed the back of his hands away from himself, as if raising his fists for a duel.
Smoothly, he hopped to the bar behind him and swung his arms out before moving one foot to the bar he was just one. Swinging them in a circle he brought his fists together, one atop the other. His footwork got fancier as he moved the other foot two bars ahead and adopted a wide stance. Keeping his right knee bent and the other extended, he shot out three quick jabs and then moved extended both knees, so he was standing.
It was a fast, fluid martial arts performance. All the while it got more complex with ever-shifting stances and footwork. When the elf began he had a serious expression on his face, but slowly that changed to a grin and soon a genuine smile. Now, his movements were less fierce, and now what was once a demonstration became a sort of dance. The once serious and quiet teacher was quickly becoming very fey-like and was singing, dancing, and even laughing.
It was no secret that all elves liked to sing, dance, and generally be merry -and Yáng was no exception. He had forgotten all about the hallucination, the nightmares, his martial arts, and the game he was so bent on earlier. He danced and twirled around on-top of the monkeybars while humming to himself. He grew happier by the moment and it showed itself in the most peculiar manner.
It was a phenomenon called "Faerie Fire". When a fay creature such as an elf grows quite merry and enters a very fay mood. ...A pale glow surrounds and outlines them, shedding light as a candle. The light was dim, not enough to disrupt any creature vulnerable to light. The light came in three different colors; blue, green, and violet. When he started dancing, Yáng was surrounded by faerie fire, a pale violet glow. Once this light was at its full intensity the elf took a break from his dancing and sat down, here he sang three different songs.
"Hey! Come melly! Come Melly dol! My darling! Quiet is the weather's wind and the feathered sommerlings. Down, up and alone in her tower, shining in the starlight, Waiting on the windowsill for warm mornin's light, There my pretty lady is, Cherry-blossom's daughter, Slight as a wand, clearer than the waters. The elves are out tonight. Can't you hear them singing? Hey now! Melly dol! I'll be waiting!
Wake now my lad. Wake and hear my calling! Hop along, my little friend, up from your bed! There's much to cover and more to discutere! Come down, come down, come down into the valley!
O! What are you doing, And where are you heading? O! The moonlight is dying and the sun is-a rising, O! What are you doing, My fair, night lady? When the night-shadows drop, then the door will close, You'll vanish in the sunlight. Come and hear my calling!"
Thus the three songs were sung, each directed to one of three people he had met that day. Sung with words laced with magic to echo and reach their ears. They were meant to summon them to his location, but it was also likely that someone else might hear the music, perhaps someone he hadn't yet met. The way the songs were crafted, they would only reach one person and would then cease. Thus, only one could answer the summons.
In the meantime, Yáng continued to sit and kick his feet while humming, all the while glowing with that pale violet light. It almost made him look like an angel, what with his usual white outfit on. There were very few things that existed in the world that could've interrupted his fay mood at this point, unless he were to be shot and killed. But, no such things were on his mind, all there was to think about was the next song to sing.

Today I don’t feel like doing anything I just wanna lay in my bed
|
Melody was sneak around again, she was actually heading for the woods, for God who knows why. It seems she just brings herself in danger, without knowing that it’s going to be dangerous. She just couldn’t sleep, nor did she feel like going down town like the rest of the group. At the moment she just felt like an outcast, not really fitting in, but that was just a minor problem, it was something else bugging her. She frowned, wanting to scream and cry, it wasn’t the feeling of being used that was bugging her. It was something stronger, she just didn’t know what exactly. She stomped around, going towards the forest, where her feet are leading her to.
The wind was soft and it was cool on her skin, just like how summer should be in the night. She just loves the smell of the night air in the summer, smiling she kept walking. She going in the direction of the playground.
She was quickly brought out of thought by singing. “What? Is that a teacher?” She whispered to herself, she knew she’ll get in trouble, it’s past bed time, she tried to sneak around but then she saw who was dancing and singing on the monkey bars. She liked to join, but that was Mr. Qi over there! The songs was pretty much pulling her towards him, she liked them. She shook it out of her mind and turned around.
Taking a few steps further, she walked into a pole. “Ow.” She whispered, trying now to yell it out. She kneeled down, holding her head together, lately that has been happening a lot. She turned her head around to see if Mr. Qi noticed.

He could've gone to her right away, but he wanted to wait and see if the girl would come on her own accord. So he kept an eye on her, but tried his best to make it look as if he hadn't noticed her. For the moment she was waiting, hiding, and listening to him sing. Yáng frowned as she turned tail and tried to escape, but that frown turned into a smile and laugh as she ran into a pole.
"There my pretty lady is, Cherry-blossom's daughter!" The teacher leaped off of the monkey bars and came dancing over, forgetting how to walk like a normal person in his fey mood. He twirled and stooped next to her. For a moment he said nothing, simply too busy looking her over for any injuries, that and looking at her brilliant pink-hair and outfit. Yáng smiled sweetly at her.
"Why were you leaving, my pretty lady? I was calling you, couldn't you hear me singing? I heard you liked to dance and sing. There's no reason to be afraid here, no judging eyes are to be found, and few creatures would dare to approach an elf in his merry making!" Yáng jumped up with a laugh, performing a quick spin and a twirl before holding out his hand to help Melody up off the ground.
"Now let the song begin! Let us sing together! Of sun, stars, moon and mist, rain and cloudy weather, Light on the budding leaf, dew on the feather, Wind on the open hill, bells on the heather-"
Yáng paused at "heather" and stroked his chin. "You know that's not a song of my own design, but it makes me realize something. ...You remind me much more of the flowers of heather than that of a cherry blossom tree. Hm, tell me. What do you like to sing, Melody? Or, what do you like to dance to?

Today I don’t feel like doing anything I just wanna lay in my bed
| “What the? Cherry-blossom’s daughter? What is going on?!” She asked, wondering what brought Mr. Qi to this phase. She knew that his race would do that from time to time, but she doesn’t what made them like that. “Stereotypes…” She whispered to herself as she let Mr. Qi help her up the ground.
“No, sorry, I was too busy trying to figure out if you’re high…” She joked, smiling back, holding back a few laughs. In the end she just needed to giggle, she really isn’t used to seeing her teacher act like that. She sort of hoped to never see that again either, “No more wondering off in the night for me.” She added, wondering if he’ll give her detention when this is over. Really she was a bit scared of that part, now she doesn’t want him to stop acting all jolly and golly.
She just listened to his song, was she really suppose to sing with him and dance. What if other people come and see and think they are just insane?
She blushed, oh how sweet, she reminded him of a flower, that never happened before. Definitely something new, not that she is complaining. Although she wasn’t sure if it was appropriate for a teacher to say such things to their students, she was unsure, but then again, she doesn’t care either. Unless a lot of trouble is connected to this.
“Um I don’t know… I only know operas well…” She said, still a bit confused. Ah memorizing those operas, rather tough thing to do, but she didn’t mind. She loved classical music, it was fresh. “Give us a song.” She added, wondering if she’ll ever say that to Mr. Qi again.

He continued to smile, but slowly his mood and faerie fire dimmed. The girl was not in the mood that he hoped she would be in. In fact, it was obvious that something was troubling her. He said nothing as she talked, and only responded with a bored nod or slight chuckle.
"A song? Well, alright. ...I'll come up with one on the spot." Yáng turned and walked back into the playground, where he leaned against a pole. Here, he looked up and gazed upon the stars. The smile he wore earlier was now gone and a serious expression was on his face, giving the impression that the song he was to sing was going to be a sad one.
"In evair, i gwaith uin giliath. Evair anno êl, in elenath vi menel. Êl anno evair, in gwaith erin ennorath. I andrann caro lend. Lû awarthamen. Pân in evair napeleth Pân in elenath napeleth."
|
[/i] He finished with a sigh, his earlier glow had now entirely faded. If Melody knew anything about the language of the elves she might pick up that the song was about how a tribe of elves were the people of the stars and how each of them belonged to a star (and vice-versa), and how these elves and their stars were fading away. "Hey, did you know that elves are immortal? They can essentially live forever, and some have existed since the beginning of the world. They are not affected by sickness, disease, or poison. So, there are only two ways for an elf to fall. The first of the two ways is for an elf to be murdered. As for the second way..." "They say elves can die through grief, and that actually happens a lot more often than people think. Elves are more deeply affected by their emotions than any other race on this earth. The slightest bit of excitement or happiness is enough to inspire them to song, but the smallest of sorrows can also have a similar effect. It's a terrible thing, sometimes just one very well liked elf can die and their death will start a chain reaction, dozens of elves can die that way." Yáng kicked off the pole he was leaning on and walked to a clear spot in the playground. Here he resumed the practice he was doing before all the singing and dancing. He would adopt a wide stance, with his elbows bent and his arms held in-front of him. With each step forward he would deliver a fast, crushing blow with one of his fists, but he made sure not to hit anything with one of these punches. Once he reached the end of the playground he would turn around and do the same thing, and so on. "You're probably wondering whether I'll put you in detention or something for being out this late. Well, stop worrying, I won't blow the whistle on you. But, I have to wonder what brought you out to forest so late at night. You obviously didn't come from the buildings to the playground, or I would've spotted you." Yáng sped up his martial art routine, each step was quicker now and each punch more ferocious. Today I don’t feel like doing anything I just wanna lay in my bed
|
Melody had the feeling it was her fault that Mr. Qi’s was brought down. Not only was his song pretty sad but the story to. She didn’t want Mr. Qi to dead, no way in hell would she want that. Just the thought made her more teary.
Of course something was bugging her and now her reason became stronger. She didn’t want to answer that question at all. It’ll make everything worse. She needed to flinch everything he punched, it even scared her a few times.
If only things were different, then the outcome would be different. She would try her best to help him, but in a way she was scared that others or even him will see it different. Or they were seeing the correct thing and she wasn’t understand what exactly she wanted. She sighed, looking around.
“It’s a secret.” She just said, plainly, it was a secret to everyone, everyone in the world. Although she really would want to cry about it, so bad. She wished she could cry for days, not coming out of her room. She plainly die in there, so she doesn’t need to be a burden anymore.
“You’re not feeling to well, Mr. Qi?” She asked, rather worried, not sure how to comfort a teacher. If she could, she would hug him. She developed a crush on him in class. She guessed she had a thing for older men, which is why she is starting to hate herself. It’s not part of the norm, if only people would lighten up a bit more.
She came closer to him, with a rather serious expression. She didn’t want to see him that depressed. She wasn’t sure if that story he told her, really happened to him. If so, she would cry with him, so hard he’ll probably laugh. She avoid the last punch, holding is wrist with two hands. She was scared he was too deep in the training that he wouldn’t notice her there, which can cause an accident.
“I want to help you.” She whispered, “what’s wrong?” She asked, now tugging on his wrist to sit down, as she did the same. She sat on her legs, which will end being asleep, but she didn’t care about herself. She couldn’t help but blush, him being so near.
“If you want, I can sing you a song.” She smiled, trying to lighten his mood, as if she was able to do so anyways. She wasn’t a good advice giver, she was only a good entertainer.
That's when her legs started to fall asleep, she had to giggle to herself from the tickle feeling it started. Then it started to hurt, that’s when the tears started to come. Yang probably would think she is insane and needs some serious help. Melody tried to shift her body, but the only way out, for her, would to get up, at least to the knees.
Her legs weren’t able to hold the weight, the pain was horrible, like cramps, horrible muscle cramps. Her legs had failed her, to no end, she fell, luckily she was on sand, or so she believe. Warm sand, which was odd, the sand her feet had experienced were cold, she just fully bedazzled. What confused her more was a beating, a soft beating like a heart and a warm soft breeze that was hitting her forehead.
“I’m on you, am I right?” She asked ashamed and now understanding what was happening. Her face must have been cherry red and giving off a tone of heat, but luckily it was a bit dark to see that. To tell the truth she didn’t want to get off, she acting like she couldn’t get up. “I can’t feel my feet!” She whined, although in the inside she truly happy. He was warm, the air wasn’t anymore. She was literally singing Peacock form Katy Perry in her head, still ‘trying’ to get up.
“Your peacock, cock, cock, your peacock” She accidentally sang out loud, which made her jump up, standing as straight as possible, as if she were in the military. ‘I am so dead.’ She thought, as she was trying to find some words, but her throat seem to have failed her too. She swallowed her nervousness away, at least a huge chunk of it.
“Uh, um, ah…” She tried to make a sentence, but apparently her brain was failing her too. “Sorry!” Finally came out, short and simple, not something she needed right now but he’ll have to happy with what he gets. The girl in front of him is obviously in no state to think at the moment.

He glanced at her to observe her body language as she said that. His eyes narrowing very slightly as she sighed and looked around before speaking, a sign that someone was admitting something. Yet, she followed up by saying that it was a "secret", how strange
"Alright, as long as it isn't anything dangerous." He went back to semi-ignoring her with his training. The game that he was so fond of that day and even a few hours ago, had completely slipped his mind now. The elf was too busy being a concerned teach and far too focused in putting everything he had into each movement of his routine. The girl spoke again.
"I guess you could say that I'm not feeling well" said Yáng, in-between movements. Melody was approaching now, and so Yáng slowed down his routine just in-case she decided to get a little too close. However, she got a lot closer than expected. He didn't at all expect for her to grab him, which made his eyes open wide in shock. It was a certainly brave move on her part, and luckily the elf was disciplined enough to not instinctively punch someone who did that. Now she was whispering to him and pulling him down to sit, which he did.
The poor girl was now sitting besides him and offering her help, while blushing up a storm. Now the elf couldn't help but smile at her again. It was definitely a tempting offer, to take up this girl's help with his nightmare problem. ...But was that wise? Yáng's head was filled with the thoughts of his game once more, and it didn't take him long to reply, which he gave with a sigh.
"I've been having trouble sleeping..." He muttered, after looking away. It was the perfect combination to make someone worried. His ears perked up when she offered to sing a song for him. But by the time he had looked back at her, he found she was no longer sitting. ...But laying on his lap instead. To top it all off, she asked -in a cute voice- whether she was on him or not, apparently to flustered to tell.
The elf chuckled at her; what a silly girl. She complained about not being to get up and whined about how her feet weren't working, but it was pretty obvious that she meant to stay down there, or she could've rolled off just fine. He smiled at her and was nearly about to run his hand through her hair, but recoiled as she sung part of a song and jumped up. Now she was all flustered again.
"Calm down, Melody. It was an accident, and I don't get offended by Katy Perry's music like most of the other teachers. So, it's fine. Okay?" Yáng smiled at her. It was the first time he called her by her name. The game he was so fond up came up again in his mind, just now he had decided to make Melody feel different about him, something different than what he originally planned.

Little bad girl Doesn't know where to begin
| “Oh? Nightmares or you just can’t sleep?” She asked, wondering what was the problem, “I get nightmares…” She addd, pausing, wondering if she should tell him. “They aren’t nice, but I noticed when I am happier on the day, that the nightmares aren’t too bad, not as scary.” She sighed, “but luckily, I get them when I am just full of stress.” She giggled, “that means, you shouldn’t give too much homework and tests out.” She couldn’t help but laugh. She wondered if he would really follow that advice, would be awesome.
As she heard him chuckle about her feet, she decided to make it more silly. She lifted her butt up, implying that her feet were working quite fine, letting her arms just slop around, as if her arms were now the problem. She started to do the splits, feeling her her legs getting tired, so she plopped the rest of her body down. Letting a little sigh out of her mouth.
Of course Melody stayed red, it was just the second meaning to peacock, which was a bit embarrassing. By that time she just had random thoughts, you could say they are nice but also rather naughty and perverted. She quickly turned around hiding her face from him. She wasn’t sure what was happening to her mind, she never really had those thoughts before. It was all Yang’s fault!
She shook her bottom a bit around, letting her index tap her nose. She wasn’t sure what to do now. Her mind was crazy, her face being red for another reason now.
“Ah, I’ve been such a little bad girl lately.” She said, saying it casually. “And I just keep going.” She turned around, reveling her smirk now. She just couldn’t help it anymore.
“My heart has been jumpin’, and my adrenaline pumpin’ and gunnin’” She added, going closer towards Yang. “Whippin’ and flippin’ and stackin’ and slappin’” Now over his lap, still standing, looking down to him. Grinning like a mad man.
“It’s all your fault, I suggest you fix it before you’ll be in big trouble.” She added, bending down, touching his right shoulder with her index, to move him a bit down.
“Cause I’ll be shaking my ass from the left to the right. Moving it round just the way that you like. Do you want it all night?” She added, sort of singing an alternative version of Little Bad Girl from David Guetta, Taio Cruz, & Ludacris.
“Now you’ve been a bad boy too.” Smirking, close to laughing a bit. “Don’t stop because, I’m liking it too.” Going lower, so that their eyes are now leveled, she started to nimble on her index finger, wondering what will happen next.
She knows she’ll get a rejection but she could at least make his brain a bit fuzzy. She was going to play this ‘game’ a bit longer. Probably write little notes on the tests and homework, he’ll probably be annoyed too. Still smirking, she looked past his eyes, down at the distance, wondering how his reaction would be. She giggled, going back to his face, giving him her attention. It wasn’t her fault, she shouldn’t let such attractive teachers in the school.
Yang will get the full experience about having a student have a yearning towards him… Her games beings now, wither he likes it or not.

The trees were so closely knit in some parts that not even the light of the moon could pour through. Any normal human would have trouble seeing even 10 feet ahead of them, however these light conditions did not bother the animals and "other creatures" of the forest. Many of them had a sort of built-in nightvision that allowed for them to nearly see as well as they could in the daylight. Two creatures with this ability happened to be stalking a certain part of the forest, which happened to be especially close to the Papagena Boarding School.
The first of these creatures was a simple dog, who had ran away from its home in Augusta. It was now regretting ever having left its loving family back in the town. For the past hour it had been chased and tortured by a much bigger predator than it. The dog laid curled up against a tree, whimpering slightly but generally staying quiet in hope that its aggressor would pass it by. But the dog would have no such luck. The hunter was approaching, a human figure clad entirely in black sans a white mask on his face.
The dog was too exhausted to keep running, so it tried its best to stay hidden under its tree. But, the hunter soon found it and kneeled next to it. Within seconds the dog had passed away from the cold, as its body heat was completely drained. The predator didn't even need to touch the poor beast. In fact, there was really no reason to even pursue and kill the beast either. The undead didn't need to eat after all, or even sleep or breathe. The man-like creature pulled off its left glove, revealing its bony, clawed hand. Gently, the creature poked at the corpse with its claw, to check if it was truly dead. It was... and so the creature replaced its glove and moved onwards, towards the school.
Here, something repulsed the creature, kept him from leaving the forest. Perhaps a simple magic barrier set up by the staff of the school... or maybe it was the elf with faerie fire off in the distance. The faerie fire was known to keep away evil creatures, and the Winterwight was no exception. Helch growled as he sat down and concentrated, going into a trance. He'd ruin this elf's party soon enough. 10 minutes passed in this trance.
Helch opened his eyes and surveyed his surroundings, clouds were beginning to gather. The elf was still there, but his faerie fire was beginning to dull. More interestedly was the arrival of a girl. It appeared the two were interacting with each other and were generally having a good time. The Winterwight loathed them for this. ...But for the moment he decided to stay back. Papagena was a magical school that taught all manner of wizards and other creatures. A well-placed spell of fire by either of them could potentially end his ten thousand year unlife. However, the creature wouldn't have to hold back for long as the spell he had just finished casting would allow him to approach without fear.
Helch paced back and forth, watching them. The elf sang and danced for a little while but soon gave up after the girl seemed uninterested. Then the elf went into some sort of training exercise. The girl went up to him and got him to stop, and after that the two were sitting on the ground and talking to each other. Then there was some sort of accident and the girl fell over, then shot up a minute or so later. The two talked a bit more and now the girl was dancing over the elf. None of these concerned the wight, of course. But he had nothing better to do for ten minutes, which is when the spell would finally take effect.
The clouds above were finally ready, grouped together and dark in color. They blocked out the light of the moon with their numbers, exactly as the Wight hoped for. Finally, down came the torrential rain, and now Helch could approach freely. The rain would make it harder to detect his approach, it would extinguish any flames used against him, and it would cause ranged attacks to fall off course. Even better, this rain would last all night and day, not stopping until dawn tomorrow. The rain extended for a 2-mile radius, enveloping the entire school and some of the forest (maybe even the town). With a cackle he shot over a small physical barrier and sign proclaiming that the forest was off-limits. The Wight's speed surpassed that of a deer.
If the rain wasn't miserable enough, the wight was about to make it worse for the elf and girl. As he ran he cast another spell, for a 40-ft. radius around the two, surrounding the entire playground. In that small area there was a magical, driving sleet, that blocked all sight and caused the ground to become icy and hard to move across. Of course, the spell was crafted in a way that it couldn't affect the winterwight, who soon found himself entering this circle and stalking his victims within, waiting for the opportunity to strike.

He watched her carefully, never averting eye contact when she spoke to him. Melody's mood had definitely changed, from a shy, embarrassed girl to some sort of dancing diva, unafraid of being judged or seen. It was an interesting change in demeanor, but Yáng had to wonder if it was for the better. She seemed almost a bit too careless in this state.
Then she was singing and dancing over him... also interesting. The way she danced and the words she said, the elf couldn't help but wonder if she knew what she was doing. But, none of this stopped him from smiling and -always- looking her in the eye. She was turning red, probably from embarrassment, but she didn't seem to care about it all that much. What an odd girl.
That is when the rain started to fall. That was a bit queer, there wasn't anything on the weather that it was going to rain today. In fact it didn't even look like it was going to rain that day, Yáng checked earlier that morning. But, oh well, weather can be unpredictable at times. It was cold rain, and it was pouring down hard enough to make it uncomfortable to stay outside. The elf got up, careful not to bump into Melody as he did so.
"We'll catch colds if we stay out here too long." Or really, Melody would get a cold, as Elves couldn't get sick. He made no reference to the earlier song and dance that Melody had done, but he never did stop smiling. Yáng put a hand on the girl's shoulder, to get her to come with him back to the commons, to get out of the rain and maybe part ways. But then that's when the sleet struck them, this worried the teacher.
"I thought this rain was odd, and now I know why. Someone is targeting us. This is no natural storm." He tightened his grip on Melody's shoulder and pulled her closer. The sand they were standing on was now frozen over with ice created by the magic sleet storm. It'd be hard to try and escape, walking over the ice.

Today I don’t feel like doing anything I just wanna lay in my bed
|
Ugh, rain, that interrupted her trance. That’s when she sort of noticed that this is her teacher in front of her. She looked up at the sky, staring at the rain, blushing madly. She was an odd girl.
The rain made her freeze, she hugged herself, to keep herself warm. It was odd that it was raining at this time of the year, now she was pretty much wet. She just nodded to his words, moving away from him, still red about the situation she made. What surprised her was that he didn’t do anything about it. Did he like it? Or was he going to black mail her? She just sighed softly, hopefully it’s a good reason. She did notice that he was smiling a lot, she did like it. She could help but him a faint smile as a reply, she would smile more but it was too cold for her. She felt his grip on her shoulder, so all she would do was to follow him. But it went colder, “ow.” She whispered, going on her tippy toes. She was barefoot, and the ground was pretty much icy, rather painful.
“Who would target us?” She asked, a bit confused, noticing his grip got tighter and pulled her closer. Now her barefoot were on the ice, now the girl wasn’t smiling anymore, it was sad frown of pain. She took hold of his top, clinching it tightly, she couldn’t it hold anyone and needs to set her own feet on his. She looked around, but she could hardly see a thing, which she panicked inside.
“What is happening?” She asked, looking up to him, worried. But she was more scared, she wanted to run away, but how would she with all the ice around. She looked down to the feet, starring at the ice. She has been living a bit more action than usual, it kind of made her worried.
OOC: Sorry for the shortness ):

That was just their luck, as it meant it would be even harder for the two to traverse the ice. Their only advantage was that the sleet storm blocked all sight, for everyone. This gave them a few precious moments away from their aggressor's eyes to cast a few spells. But that was the other thing, while the spell for a sleet storm could be cast instantly, it left just as quickly as it came. So they really did only have a few seconds.
"I don't know who could be. ...But I do know that the spell for a sleet storm can only affect a small area, hence why I say we were targeted. We only have a few seconds to prepare so bare with me here." He began his preparations by running his hand up Melody's back, collecting a bit of fleece from her pjs and a few grains of sand that stuck to her. These two items would be material components in a important spell. He clasped these things tightly in his hands and whispered a word into them, then he tossed them upwards where they were burned to nothingness by an invisible flame. The energy of the spell had consumed them. Now he would cast a second spell, this time on Melody.
"I'm going to put a spell on you that will allow you to walk on air. It's going to feel odd at first, believe me. But, it'll let you stay off the ice and get out of harm's reach if necessary. Just remember that to go up or down, just start walking as if you were going up or down a hill." With that, he spoke a single unintelligible word and made a complex motion with his hand. Immediately, his right hand began to glow with constantly shifting colors. To cast the spell on her, he simply tapped her collarbone. Now she could walk across air as if it was solid ground, at least temporarily.
It was the best Yáng could do, he could only hope the storm would clear up and they'd get a fair chance to fight whoever was targeting them. Of course, his first spell wasn't for naught. It was an illusion spell, and at any time he could produce any kind of effect he wanted; even a tall, menacing monster. It was an advanced illusion spell, to be sure. It allowed him to include visual, auditory, olfactory, and even thermal components within the illusion. But, for the moment, he saved the spell for later, able to cast it at anytime he needed.

Especially when they themselves casted it. A fact perhaps unknown to the elf in the center of the storm. The poor creatures wouldn't even be able to see his approach. He would have already attacked and gutted the two of them, but he saw that one of them was casting spells. So, instead he opted to sit back and watch what he was doing.
First, the elf casted an illusion spell, but strangely did not yet activate its effects. It was a good thing to know, because an illusion had trouble affecting you if you knew it was coming. Second, the elf casted a spell unknown to Helch on the girl, which bothered him. "Well," he thought, "it was good that I had decided to stay back and watch. Now I know what they have in store." Helch wore a creepy grin on his face as he waltzed into the playground, unaffected by the ice or the driving sleet. He had every intention of taking these two by surprise.
The winterwight closed distance quickly, and then stood less than ten feet away from them. Right where they couldn't see him, because of the effects of the storm. At this distance his cold aura would permeate them, eventually killing them just like the dog. However, the spell of sleet was going to end soon, so while he did stand with confidence and a smug look on his face, he also was ready to leap into action the moment they noticed him.
He loathed these two creatures, that were singing and dancing just a moment earlier. Just for that he wanted to kill them both, in the most slow way he could possibly imagine; by freezing. All he would have to do is reach out and scratch one of them with his claw to put an excruciating curse on them. But, as before, he waited for them. Helch wanted to fight them, see their looks of dread on their faces when they realized what they were up against.

It was a warm night, the moon was high and bright. She graced the world with her borrowed light making the night clear as the clouds seemed to split to frame her beauty. The elf could easily have been a teacher here but she didn't have to body for the respect needed and she felt like she didn't have the knowledge to teach. So she studied here as a student, the pair of dragons offering just a little more protection to the grounds.
Shori was walking with Lhach, the ruby colored dragon, both the females rounded to corner speaking in Lhach's common tongue, when the black dragon swooped from the sky. At first the females thought it was him that blocked out the moon, but his panicked words made them look beyond his dark frame to the sky.
Storm clouds had formed blocking the moon's light.Suddenly the rain beat against them and hindered the males flight for a second. The rain ran off the scales off the male dragon as he flew back to the girls dorms. Shori knew what he planed to bring back and was glad for his concern.
As the male flew off Shori and Lhach started to make their way to the play ground, just to see for themselves if Obsidian's words were true. Rounding a corner the pair saw the sleet and got the last sighting of something or some one entering it. A weight suddenly made Shori huff, around her a dragon scale cloak had been dropped from above. Pulling the hood up the elf took a sense of peacefulness from the warmth.
The dragon scales on her clothing and the cloak gave off that soft glow, like a candle in a thick fog. With that glow came that warmth, being so close to the dragons made the magic in the scales react.
Obsidian circled above Shori and Lhach, and the female grew to match his size. Both were large but they could easily match a swift for speed and still remained agile in the air. Shori knew that there were too people in the sleet storm, now joined by something else that willingly walked into it.
Shori looked down at her boots thankful they too had dragon scales to keep her warm, these boots came to her knees. Smiling she sent the dragons into the air to keep their bodies moving and the warm blood flowing, she had a feeling that their body heat would be needed soon.
Walking forward her boots crunched on the sand beneath her, unseen fire heated her steps as did the dragon fire. It caused a ring of heat the form around Shori, she felt for sure that the sleet storm was magical as she stood at it's edge. The 5ft in diameter ring clashing with the colder magic.
Hopefully her own pure fire based magic would cause the evil to pause and change targets. Hopefully it would look for a fight and being of opposite elements the fight would be interesting to say the least.
Around the area Lhach and Obsidian circled, they wouldn't interfere if they didn't have to.
