General information for all:
Name: Yáng Qí
Age: 152 (which is just some 23 years away from being middle-aged in the elven world) but appears to be in his 20-30's
Birthday: September 1st.
Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Appearance: Yáng from a distance appears to be chinese and in a way that is true, he is from China. However, it doesn't take much more than an up-close cursory look to see his pointed ears, revealing his elven nature. His most noticeable features are -of course- his elvish ears and what appears to be a burn mark on his face. Unlike other elves, he prefers not to wear anything too colorful. Instead, his usual outfits are monotone and authentically eastern in appearance. Even formal events have him wearing the same thing, but perhaps with a nice little embroidery on it.
• Short, black hair
• Narrow, brown eyes
• 5 ft.
• 110 lbs.
Personality: Yáng is like any other person, wanting to be alone at times and other times with someone else. His greatest desire is for companionship, but he is yet to find any girl willing to devote herself to him. Yáng is a shrewd, clever man and can be quite manipulative. He excels on being able to tell what someone else is thinking -through body language and other subconscious actions-, to the point of his acquaintances swearing that he has the ability to read minds. To him social encounters and relationships are almost like a game, he takes a look at your personality and then immediately decides how he wants you to feel about him, then will do anything to get you to have the desired feelings.
• LIKES: Ji jiao (Chicken Feet), Liquids (Water, Blood, etc.), Using Chinese or Japanese, People who are easily dominated.
• DISLIKES: Noodles, Running, Gel (Anything gelatinous or anything that is like liquid but doesn't have its consistency), People who aren't clever.
• STRENGTHS: Wushu (Chinese Martial Arts, like Kung-Fu), Knows Chinese and Japanese, Expert Combatant.
• WEAKNESSES: Anything that requires average dexterity, Not too great when it comes to reading english (he reads slow), Unable to control his own strength (cannot pull punches, has trouble not slamming doors), not creative (but that doesn't mean he isn't innovative)
History: September 1st, 1859, aka the Carrington Event. The largest geomagnetic storm ever recorded, after a massive solar flare. Auroras could be seen all around the world, the light so bright that it was almost like the sun had rose in the middle of the night. It was this night that the elf Yáng of the Qí family was born, with a large birth mark that covered the left side of his face. Perhaps it was mere coincidence, or maybe the auroras somehow effected him. He went through life learning a lot about the many different fey creatures of the world, and even more about magic and its variations. Somehow he ended up as a teacher at Papagena, where he teaches physical (but mostly) and magical sciences. The stuff he teaches is mostly basic and his class serves as a refresher (a 101 if you will) before going into more advanced science classes.
Family: The Qí family
Face claim: Wei Zhijun
